The fall and the rise of the Arvind Kejariwal

It was a 6th of April 2011, IPL was just ended and Indian Media was searching for some hot news. A seventh standard  passed old man named as Anna Hajare was going to start a fast until death. The reason was obviously the Jan Lokpal bill.  Fasting was not a new thing for him as he has done it on many occasions. Each occasion gave some different results which were important for the nation. But this time his enemy was different and the challenge was tremendous as he was fighting against mighty Congress of the center. He needed a companion who could deal with the cunning Congress and its extraordinary manipulative ministers who were expert in the game of words. Anna found a solace in an IIT graduate lad named as Arvind kejariwal who was also a former joint director of the department of Income tax.
The story of Arvind kejariwal is not an extraordinary one but it has an essence of greatness.    As an officer of Indian civil services he knew everything about the inner part of government. When he joined Anna Andolan, challenges were difficult for him because he did not start his career as a politician. It becomes extremely difficult for a person to launch a campaign against politicians specially if he is not related to politics. The case of Anna was different as he was powerful. The power of Anna came from the large scale inclusive work which he had done earlier in his career. Anna's work includes the starting of the grain bank, irrigation projects and literary movements which were huge success in rular area. It gave power to Anna so that he could take on any corrupt politician.
When Anna Andolan was in full swing and when it was assumed that nation will get the strong Lokpal bill, the Congress party striked back. They played the natural game of divide and rule which was inherited from their British counterparts. Dramatically they challenged the Anna and his members to join politics. This was the game which Civil society failed to understand. When nation was close to getting a strong Lokpal bill, the decision of forming a political party by Arvind Kejariwal came forward. At that time it looked like a political mistake but now it seems that he was correct. At that time lot of criticism happened and stories of Arvind betraying Anna came forward.
As far as Anna Andolan is concerned the decision was really a set back. This is because it was the game of congress to divide Civil society in which they succeeded. It was the same time when Congress ended the political career of Baba Ramdev who was looking like a threat. Congress got success in breaking the relationship between Kejariwal and Kiran Bedi. Most important of all this was that they succeeded in pending a strong Lokpal Bill.
Now the bad time has gone and new equations has been formed. Kejariwal and his Aam Admi Party got the huge success in Delhi elections. Though time is looking difficult for the party but they are succeeding on an account of good governance.
There are huge challenges ahead of AAP . First one would be of tackling corruption in his own party if in case it would happen in future. The second would be the admissions of students in various colleges. This is because in Delhi lot people depend upon politicians for the admission of their children. When this so called fathers will go to any AAP MLA for getting admission then it would be interesting to guess the replies from members of assembly.
The success of AAP is huge in case if we calculate the time they invested in the election. There is no doubt that they got success because of already weakened Congress. The impact of brand Anna and brand Kejariwal also played a huge role. Raj Thackeray in Maharashtra required a time of around three years to get 12 seats. In that case a time of a year and gain of more than 27 seats is huge.
As it has happened in the past with Janpraksh Narayan's Janata Dal that people gave them power mainly on he issue of non-corrupt party and it turned out to be a false promise, it should not happen with AAP party. At least for now this is what we actually expect from Arvind Kejariwal and his Aam  people.

The strange side of Bhagat Singh

Whenever we talk about Bhagat Singh, we do get a glimpse of a ardent revolutionary who fought for his mother land. Many intellectuals from modern India consider him as a man who took a path of a revolutionary terrorism. However, time has come to look at the other aspects of this great national hero and martyr. Was he a revolutionary terrorist or a mere Marxist?  There are some misconception about Bhagat Singh. Some people consider him only as a man who worked on violent practices to free India. However, there is other side to this hero. He was involved in the death of Saunders, a British officer whose orders forced Lala Lajpat Rai's death. His arrest in the assembly bombing case portray him as a nationalist who works on the path of violence. But the reality lies somewhere else.
Bhagat Singh was a voracious reader. He red about all the socialist and communist movements taken place at that time. Some even consider him great reader than that of Nehru. When he started the career, the impact of Bolshevik revolution of Russia was fresh  in his mind. He always wanted to lead a movement of masses. From the revolutions of Soviet Union, Italy and Ireland he was confirmed that only way to go for the struggle for the Independence is from the development of large movement. Only involvement of local people including workers in a non violent way could bring a freedom for India. However, sudden death of Lala Lajpat Rai, One of the prominent leaders of Panjab left him shocked. At the same time previous incidences of Jalianwala Bag massacre and sudden removal of non cooperation movement kept very limited options to him. So he jumped in the violent revolution.
Very few people knew that before his arrest in asembly case he left all personal heroic activities and left the way of revolutionary terrorism. He wanted to establish a mass movement with the support of youths of the country. So in the year 1926 he founded the Punjab Naujawan Bharat Sabha. This organisation worked on constructive principles based on socialism, communism and political enlightenment of youths. This organisation was a huge success with its lantern lectures. Bhagat Singh saw the potential in this organisation. So he left the activities and worked on framing the plan of Independence. However, it was difficult to shift from one idea to other specially when British Officers were looting India.
"The real revolutionary armies are in the factories and villages."
One of the major truths which Bhagat Singh accumulated was a fact that only secularism can bring India freedom. He was the first man in India who learned about the importance of secularism even earlier than that of Mahama Gandhi.  He did not fear to criticize Lala Lajpat Rai when he turned to communal practices. He fought against Lala Lajpat Rai in a respected way. During his last days he realized that revolutionaries have not even succeeded in establishing contacts with masses. So he requested people to work on the principles of Marxist ideas.  the question arises-why did he take a path of revolutionary activities? During early days of struggle his organisation was not finding suitable men. The people of that time did not want the old philosophy of Congress and parliamentary nature of Swarajist. So they were attracted to the philosophy of violent activities. Bhagat Singh saw this as an opportunity to recruit men. So he recruited men on the principles of revolution.
Even before his hanging he requested youths to leave the violent revolutionary practices. He urged people to leave the revolutionary activities and work on constructive principles.
If situation could have been different and the incidences like death of Lala Lajpat Rai and that of removal of non-cooperation movement would not have happened then history might have been different. We might have seen freedom of India achieved through the hands of Bhagat Singh with more mature and communist ways of non-violence.

How globalization affected the aging population of the world

Globalization simply means the interaction of nations and their people in the form of products, services, cultural aspects, and knowledge. It has created a significant impact on the aging population of the world. According to the United Nations, all people who are 65 years old and above are termed as Aged people. The aging population has less value in the demographic dividends. But with new reforms and cutting-edge technology, our bureaucracy and corporate world are on the verge of effectively solving the problems of the aged population.

How Paul Walker influenced India

India is a country with a billion hearts and these are not made up of the strong walls. The sudden and tragic death of Paul Walker has created waves of shocks across the country. These shocks depict as how India is a great fan of Hollywood stars. The main sentence which Indians wrote on their Google search box was as- How did Paul Walker die?  The result has certainly given a dual grief to Indians since they feel proud if someone dies doing a thing which is his profession. Though the exact reason behind the car accident is yet to be known but it has been clear that his friend was driving the car.
The time was same for America and India when Fast Furious part one was released. This is mainly because the road accidents dramatically increased in India as that of America. At that time National authority for road transport in America carried a campaign to aware its citizen on safe driving. However,  Indians enjoyed the movie and fast driving as there was no traffic safety awareness campaign.
Though the exact reason behind the car accident is yet to be known but it has been clear that his friend was driving the car.
Fast and Furious part six was the most anticipated movie in India. This is because Indians were eager to watch this prequel specially because Tokyo drift was immensely popularized and successful in India. Girls used to love Walker's look and his sensible style of acting. Though Vin Diesel was popular in India but the six part series made a name for Walker. The shock that was seen in India on various social networking sites clears as how Indians are taking Hollywood seriously. Twitter and Facebook flooded with the stories of their favourate actor.
In India it's been two years since the formula one championship is going on. Many youngsters from the country wanted to take part in formula one championship. However, lack of opportunities on middle level have restricted them. During this time and a time of six years before this championship it was Fast and Furious Series which gave them the required inspiration. Now Paul Walker is no more but still they are going to take inspiration from his life and of-course the seventh part of the series which will going to hit next year

Lessons to learn from India Vs Australia series

So the record breaking series between India and Australia just ended. The series was really a milestone for cricket. When the series started no one was interested in it. Everyone thought that India will make a complete white wash of young Australian team. However, the spirit they showed and courage they encountered just put them in the list of mighty brave hearts. Psychologically the highest score of 300 has just vanished and new benchmark of 360 has been set up. People were not able to understand as what do players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan would eat to become  the robotic run machines.

Jaypur, Nagpur and Bangluru saw the threshold broken and public got worth of every single penny they spent on the match. However, we have to analyze as what was that thing which made batsmen to score so much of runs. First thing was the fact that these were Indian pitches and plane one like concrete, so it  gave freedom to batsmen to wipe out bowling. Second thing was that weird rule of ICC which permits only four fielders outside thirty yards circle. This rule is criticized by all commentators and even by some batsman such as Virat Kohli. No one can understand as why every rule which ICC makes is against the bowlers. Third thing was the weak bowling from both sides. Though pitches were just plane but no bowler was in form and no one bowled on correct line and length. No yorkers were tried from any side and no variations of pace was observed.

Another thing which many of us were unable to understand as why Johnson went back to Australia before the final match. Australian gave the reason that he went for preparing Ashes series. However, as final at Bangluru was important match and he was spearhead of bowling attack, he should have stayed back. To win the final match is always important for any team as it increases team's confidence and helps team to go confidently  in the next series. This was the basic mistake which Australians made and it will definitely going to cause them in upcoming Ashes series.

The series was positive in some aspects. It gave Australia some new typical blood players such as Faulkner and some other batting talents.Young players took experiences of playing on subcontinent wickets. Last but not least it gave a mindset that anyone can chase any total on any ground in India.

Now Australian team went back for preparing Ashes and Indian team is preparing for biggest event on the planet. That event is the farewell to their greatest hero of all time and that is Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. News coming from Mumbai are astonishing. Only four thousand tickets are available for general public. Postal tickets have been printed in the name of Sachin. Nearly four hundred million is on the bet with Sachin. The ticket of Wankhede will have photo of Sachin. The match will going to be the Macca-Madina of all the events. We all are welcome to celebration of god's retirement.

Last time when I saw the god named Sachin Tendulkar

I was at VCA cricket stadium in Nagpur. It was a second match which I watched on the VCA cricket stadium at Jamtha. First international match was between India and Sri Lanka and it was a worst match to watch as India lost this match. Only sixer that any of the Indian players hit came from Ashish Nehra.
So you can guess what kind of feeling it gives when you go for watching T20 match and end up watching only sixer of the match that too by the bowler. So like millions of Indians I was upset and eager to watch another cricket match. Lottery of the life came in the news that there would be a test match in the Nagpur and Sachin is going to bat at Jamtha.

Finally the day came and we found ourselves in the area of Vidharbh cricket association ground. It was six am in the morning when we entered ground and we got the tickets  after three hours of hardwork.

Dhoni elected to field first. So it was nice chance to watch Indian players. When pacers were bowling, Sachin was fielding at mid-on so we were unable to view him closely. After some time Dhoni introduced spin. To our surprise we saw Sachin coming on the boundary line. There was no limit for our joy. We danced like  small boys.
The concentration of Sachin was fully on the batsman. However, whenever ball was bowled he used to come closer to the boundary and used to please crowd. This was the time when his greatness was seen by us. He knew that people do come here only to watch him. He is their hero and he has to respond. So without any attitude he was taking crowd's wishes and was wawing his hand in the response.
Someone from the crowd was shouting "Long live Bharatratna Sachin". He heard it but his humble behavior showed that he was not overheated by it. There has been a lot talked about Sachin Tendulkar. Now he is retiring after a series with West Indies. From the Last 20 years he has entertained India.
Sachin's contribution to Indian cricket is immense. For nearly 20 years youngsters targeted only 10 Indian seats as they knew that 11th seat was reserved for god. For the most part of twenty years he was only dependable soul of Indian cricket.
When the name Sachin comes in our mind we remember Sharajah series when he just outplayed mighty Australians. The fear which Shane Warne showed was real and unavoidable. We also remember the previous day press conference when Andy Caddick said that Sachin performs only against the weaker countries. I bet Caddick will never forget the next day pull shot six to his ball. And who will forget that 200 run great inning with South-Africa. At that time all the main bowlers of Africa were present in the match and Sachin just showed them different parts of the ground.
Whenever he will retire, lot of people will cry. The love of Indian people with Sachin will never going to vanish. He has given them courage when their heart was weakest. They will going to give him courage when his heart will be weakest.

The curious case of loksabha elections of 2014

The election campaign of major political parties across India is in the full swing. Like always happens the issue of development has been forgotten. The usual typical Indian politics of religion ,cast and minority related permutations and combinations has been started. Right wing politician tried to give religious color to politics by starting various Yatras. However, on being unsuccessful, they tried to turn to their favorite subject that is religion. The effort to turn small issues into major riot was successful in the Uttar-Pradesh. The issue has given enough air to fire between Jats and Muslims of UP.
On the major platform of politics Rahul Gandhi the next PM in waiting  for congress has failed to influence both that is politics of religion and that of development. On the other hand Narendra Modi the PM candidate of theBJP is looking nice. He has highjacked the late Congress giant Sardar Patel's legacy for his own business. The statue of unity politics is taking Modi far ahead of his counterparts in New Delhi. He is not only playing the development card well but also concentrating on every issue related to religion polarization. The recent serial blast  in his own rally has given him chance to make concrete of Hindu votes across Bihar. Modi has become unchallenged autocrat who can go to any height for winning PM's post.
On the other hand Congress is surely feeling the Narendra Modi's heat. They are doubtful over their series of pre-elections creams such as food security, land reforms and other virtual subsidies such as MGNREGA. There is no doubt that Congress MP's have lot of money for funding this election as compared to the BJP. This is mainly because of the continuous rule for 10 years. However, still one section of Congress is fearing a landslide loss in the Loksabha election. This is mainly because of strong media campaign of BJP.
Another section of the Congress is working hard to bring Priyanka Gandhi on the main stage. However, central leadership of the Congress is cautious dealing with Priyanka Gandhi. They don't want opposition to take advantage of war which does not exist. So even to promote Rahul's campaign congress is not taking free help of Priyanka Gandhi. It will be interesting to see what will be the mood of the nation after the elections going to take place in five states. The local election of theDelhi will be election of prestige for all parties. As religion does not hold main issue in Delhi so major political parties will be pouring a lot money in Delhi. The grip over the Delhi helps every party to distribute resources across the nation. The picture will be more clear after five states election. Until then we can enjoy the drama and cunning politics. However, nation will have to remain cautious as many of these parties will try to break communal harmony. So with little bit of precautions we can enjoy the process to select the most powerful man of India.

Why does U.S.A need to take India seriously

During the time of India-USA nuclear deal we saw Manmohan Singh to be the one of the most courageous persons of all time. I think the event was historic as it happened for the first time when PM has put his own party in a possible danger for the sake of the deal. At that time, PM's decision was criticized by every party . The situation became critical when members of his own party including party president Sonia Gandhi went against him. However, PM stood for the cause and for his own imagination to go forward with nuclear deal.

Now, three years have been passed, but the deal's promises have not been fulfilled from American side. If we look at our friendship with Russia then we can see that Russians do take less time compared to Americans. Though the projects of nuclear energy production were delayed in Kudankulam but Russia showed patience and delivered nuclear power plant. Russia completed this in minimum possible time as promise to Indian bureaucrats.

Another concern with America is that their continuous wastage of taxpayer's money on Pakistan. It seems good as they invest billions dollars in Afghanistan, Iraq and some other middle east countries for the sake of fighting against terrorism. However, India can't understand as why US spends so much money on Pakistan specially after the death of Osama Bin Laden? Why do Americans turn a blind eye on the fact that Pakistan uses same money against India?

India is the biggest customer of American soft power. In other words India is the only country which promotes American soft power. This is because India has highest number of FDI investment of America than any other countries. The culture of malls, music, movies and capitalism is directly inherited from American side. We have seen that Indian economy is recognizably impacted by American Federal Reserve bank.

Last time when Federal Reserve president Bernake decided to reduce bond purchasing, the Indian economy virtually collapsed. Rupee went its lowest value of 70 rupees a dollar from 60 rupees of its earlier value. However, when American bank decided to delay the reduction in bond purchasing, Indian rupee became slightly stronger with 60 rupee a dollar. So all this factors show that India has made itself complying with America.

Many a times India has sacrificed its national interests only to continue friendship with America. However, expect from some high intensity word of affection nothing has come to India's side.

A permanent seat in security council is India's long dream. If America will decide then it will not be hard for them to include India in security council. Looking at the changing scenarios in world politics, it becomes important for world to give India a veto power. This is because world knows that Indian credibility stays in the fact that India is the only country which will be the ambassador to world peace.
