How could have Delhi proposal avoided the partition of India and Pakistan

This question is always asked in the historical perimeter as why Mohammad Ali Jinnah turned to extreme communal-ism from his earlier position of secular politician. A lot of efforts have been done from both sides to find out the answers to this question.  Historians have tried to find the answer of this question in the series of negotiations including the Simon Commission, Rajgopalachari formula, Desi-Liqayat pact, Cripps Mission, Cabinet Mission plan and finally the Mountbatten plan which decided to carve out Pakistan from India.

Why Winston Churchill's those comments still hurt India.

He may be regarded as the one of the greatest heroes of world war two. People might have considered him as the greatest savior of mankind. He might have inspired the whole world by his extraordinary oratory skills and great wisdom. Or in simpler words, he might have saved the world from the anarchy of Nazism. However, as far as India is considered, the people are not very much fond of this wizard.

Why does Congress desperately need Pranab Mukherjee to be its PM candidate?

Congress party looks to be in one of the greatest crises of all time. Nearly all the opinion poles are predicting less than 90 seats for Congress in the assembly election. The task of securing 272 seats in the election looks impossible for Rahul Gandhi. This time they don't have Pranab Mukherjee to act as their dependable troubleshooter. At the age of 80 plus, he is enjoying his duty as a president and as a nominal head of India.
Many people still asks this question as why did he abandon Congress? Specially when he could have  got Prime Minister's seat in the lower house. Pranab gave a simple answer to this question. He said that he does not possess excellent oratory skills, specially in Hindi, required for the top post. This was an intelligent answer but there is no doubt that he was sidelined just because of dynasty politics.
It is not the case that Congress is not aware of Pranab's capabilities. They have seen his political aggression when Mumbai attack happened. At that time, there was a leadership deficit at the top level because of weak leadership of PM Manmohan Singh. Sonia was unable to do anything since she was not on any official post of cabinet. So this five and half feet tall guy came to India'a rescue. He gave orders to army to remain on standby. It is because of him that the jets were securing the aerial territory of Mumbai and Delhi. He put forward a strong case for India on international level. He gave strong signals to Pakistan and warn them against possible consequences if they would not act on Kashmir militants.
Whenever opposition parties jammed Loksabha on any issue, it was Pranab who acted as a strong mediator for the Party. When he was the finance minister of India no one dared to talk against him. Like that of Atal Bihari Vajpayi, he was also respected by opposition parties. Whenever he used to stand in Loksabha
for any speech, the assembly would go for a pin drop silence. Pranab's negotiating skills with the opposition and with the international counterparts was an extraordinary one. He is firm and confident in his behavior and can take India to the next level.
The present situation is unavoidable for the Congress. Rahul Gandhi is not able to establish himself as a great leader. His interview with Arnab Goswami was a total failure. India saw that he can't even  take a firm stand on any simple issue. When the burning issues were in-front of him, he decided to remain silent like his mother. Nirbhaya case, the protection of rights of North East students, Telangana bill  are some of the issues on which he did not take any stand. When India is on the verge of issues like corruption, strong international presence and good governance, he only concentrates on some old issues like that of women empowerment and reducing poverty. Even after the highly paid campaign he is unable to gain the trust on the important issues.
Congress must have to see their leadership in Pranab Mukherjee. He is the last person who could save them from historical loss. The question of bringing him back is not a difficult one. Congress will just have to handle the ego issues of some of its ministers like Chidambaram. They will simply have to ask Pranab to resign from presidential-ship and immediately needs to indirectly put him for the leadership role. He has the capacity to change the results of upcoming elections.
The whole Congress could be reinvented for the election, if he will again join the party. As it happens in politics the wind can change its direction in a day specially when it is blowing in Narendra Modi's territory. For countering the strong challenge of Narendre Modi and his good governance, Congress needs strong candidate of his caliber. As Thomas Macaualay has said people starts believing something if they are shown the thing again and again. So in order to turn the prismatic society of India into a diffracted one, we need Pranab Mukherjee to be the Prime Minister Of India.

What prompted the historical fight between Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru.

Mahatma Gandhi and Pandit Nehru were soul-mates of each other. If we closely looked at the history then we will see that they were immensely dependent on each other. Whenever a kind of crisis arose on each of them, they cooperated each other so that the other partner would be quickly brought out of the situation. Gandhian ideology and the ideology of Nehru were similar for most part but still they had the recognizable differences.
Pandit Nehru was influenced by the Russian revolution of 1917. So from the early days of his political career he supported the socialist movements. The setting up of left parties particularly during the decade of 1930 made him believe that it is only socialism which could bring India out of dominion status. His political tour for Farmers organisations in central province made him aware about the problems of farmers. He never wanted to part away from the Congress instead he had a dream to move it more towards communist views.
The first major confrontation came during the start of Civil Disobedience Movement. At that time Lord Berkinhead challenged if Indians could make their own constitution. So Motilal Nehru, father of Javaharlal Nehru took the responsibility and gave India its first mini constitution in the form of Nehru report. However, it was opposed by nationalists including Javaharlal Nehru as it contained dominion status instead of full independence. Gandhi supported Motilal as he thought that it would be easy to negotiate with British with lower demand. Nehru and his friends were not accepting Gandhi's views. They wanted full independence with sovereignty. As a result Congress party was divided into two parts, one supported by Gandhi and Motilal while other by Javahar and Subhash Bose. As it has always happened in history, Gandhi negotiated with Nehru and promised him  the launch of Civil Disobedience for negotiation with the dominion status.
When the movement was over, British gave opportunity to Indians to take part in elections. This elections was a part of the historical act of 1935. So again there was a question in-front of congress whether to take part in it or not? Right wing of the Congress supported elections. Initially Gandhi did not like the idea but looking at the mounting pressure he also decided to support elections. Left parties wanted revolutionary protest instead of only election participation. At this time Nehru acted as a negotiator and it was decided to participate in election.
Congress came in power after the elections. Their period was dominated by pro-British activities. Lot of right wing candidates took decisions in the favor of Moneylenders and powerful people. Common people were deprived of their fundamental rights. The whole Congress party became the caretaker of moneylenders. Nehru did not like this situation. He started opposing the overall nature of Gandhian philosophy. He started believing that Congress is a party of people who supports only powerful people.
Nehru thought that Gandhi's methods are nothing more than a compromises. He told his supporters that the full independence can not be brought out  piece by piece. Instead we need a movement which will going to revolutionize India. He put forward the socialist views on the lines of Russia. He developed a new concept of 'struggle-victory' instead of Gandhi's 'struggle-truce-struggle'.
Nehru opposed the idea when the question partition of India came forward. He advised Gandhi to show determination against communal forces. However, respecting the fabric of socialist views he never incited violence.
The fight between them was not only of finding the best way to achieve freedom but about the basic ideas which need to be established in free India. Gandhi always believed in development through constructive works while Nehru believed in total socialism with a scope for nationalized industries. They both never compromised their own ideas for each other. At the same time they never broke their friendship for their ideas and for the sake of national interest.
