Why Aamir Khan should be awarded with Bharat Ratna for his documentary on Satyamev Jayate

The man with a mission.

Last year India did witness one of the greatest silent revolutions of all time. That too without wasting a single drop of  blood. Aamir Khan and his Satyamev Jayate became a hot topic of discussion in every sectors of India. The only reason was his great researched documentary on building a prosperous nation. He covered almost all the topics with same intensity and perfection. For an actor it becomes difficult to handle both movies and documentaries. But the great national hero did this with a ease and showed the world that patriotism still exists. This year he has also come up with five day documentary on India. The shows will definitely going to wake up India.
His first documentary of the season two showed the condition of women in India. He presented as how rape victims have to suffer from the  hardships of system? In each subsection of a program he put a light on worst conditions of Police stations, Medical Examiners and Judiciary. He argued and demanded the need of separate place for women related complaints so that within a month or two the case can be solved. His research explained that the number of goons present in our society is very small. However, our inability to tackle makes them powerful. So we have to unite so that we can tackle them.
Last year  he was invited by standing committee of ministry of commerce. He was the only actor who was invited by any parliamentary committee. That time the issue was whether to allow FDI in retail or not? Aamir in his one of the documentaries ardently opposed the FDI in medical. The reasons which he gave surprised many people.
In the year 1993 the World Trade Organization reached on consensus for the trade related intellectual property rights (TRIPS). The licensing of drug became a compulsion for medical companies. Due to this they got the monopoly in producing the generic medicines. It became impossible for common man to buy the medicines because of their high price. The cost of simple medicine increased by 100 to 500 times just because of monopoly over licenses.
It was not for the first time that the issue of generic medicines became a topic of discussion in India. But the awareness and realization was impossible to achieve. Aamir raised this issue in his show and the results were amazing. The Supreme court refused to renew the licenses of pharmaceutical companies including American heavyweight such as Ranbaxy. Executive body of Indian parliament ordered to hold on the FDI in medical sector. The ill practices of doctor were banned. Many pseudo doctors were forced to close their offices. The relationship between doctors and middlemen was brought into light. There was a sense of renovation in the medical sector.
His other documentaries did have a same impact. Such as his show on protecting child rights made a meaningful impact on looking at the problems of children. This issue was also presented in the movie 'Tare Jamin Par.' In the movie he showed the problem of dyslexia in the small children. He gave solutions to these problems in the form of compassion and love. He forced us to hold on reservation policy for a quite long time by showing that untouchable people still exists. It made us think that the problems of castes are still present in its old form.
Since many years the physically disabled community was asking for renewal of disabilities act of 1995. It was because of his show that government of India brought renewed protection of disabilities bill (2013) in the Parliament. An unnoticed concept such as staircases with Iron holders was introduced because of his efforts. This act was also made com-pliable to United Nations Convection on disability.
The problem of honor was presented in his show. This gave the answer as how Khap Panchayats (local illegal governing bodies) hold power over the basic right of an individual. He also argued as why parents need to allow their child to choose their marriage partner? Aamir made India realized that it has a long list of things to achieve. Though we are assuming our self to prosper towards developed country, still lots need to be done.
In his last show he presented the problem of human trafficking which has became a great problem not only for India but for the whole world. He argued that in modern it is a responsibility of society  to free women from illegal gangs. We have already reached a threshold as far as the issues of women safety is concerned.
Aamirs Khan's efforts can be compared with Raja Ram-mohan Roy, India's first social reformer. Exactly 300 years ago it was impossible for Ram-mohan Roy to introduce changes in a conservative society. However he believed in himself and carried forward his effort irrespective of social pressure. His efforts gave India a semi liberal status. This time the problems are new but they still have a essence of a conservative society. Aamir Khan is a person who can change India from is semi liberal attitude to fully pragmatic society. This all can only be achieved if government recognizes his work on national as well as international level. This can only be done by awarding him with a highest Indian civilian award of Bharat Ratna.

Why Government offices need to take lessons from the Passport office of India.

Sam Pitroda, the pioneer of Indian IT revolution, once suggested to abolish the attestation of any paper copies so that we can save our valuable time. It's been 10 years since he gave that suggestion and situation has not gone anywhere. People here always wonder as what prompts him to think like that? Does he believe that good governance is still possible in India? Or he is just one of the virtual believers of Hippocratic Society where decisions can not be implemented because of Red tap-ism.

Why does Congress desperately need Pranab Mukherjee to be its PM candidate?

Congress party looks to be in one of the greatest crises of all time. Nearly all the opinion poles are predicting less than 90 seats for Congress in the assembly election. The task of securing 272 seats in the election looks impossible for Rahul Gandhi. This time they don't have Pranab Mukherjee to act as their dependable troubleshooter. At the age of 80 plus, he is enjoying his duty as a president and as a nominal head of India.
Many people still asks this question as why did he abandon Congress? Specially when he could have  got Prime Minister's seat in the lower house. Pranab gave a simple answer to this question. He said that he does not possess excellent oratory skills, specially in Hindi, required for the top post. This was an intelligent answer but there is no doubt that he was sidelined just because of dynasty politics.
It is not the case that Congress is not aware of Pranab's capabilities. They have seen his political aggression when Mumbai attack happened. At that time, there was a leadership deficit at the top level because of weak leadership of PM Manmohan Singh. Sonia was unable to do anything since she was not on any official post of cabinet. So this five and half feet tall guy came to India'a rescue. He gave orders to army to remain on standby. It is because of him that the jets were securing the aerial territory of Mumbai and Delhi. He put forward a strong case for India on international level. He gave strong signals to Pakistan and warn them against possible consequences if they would not act on Kashmir militants.
Whenever opposition parties jammed Loksabha on any issue, it was Pranab who acted as a strong mediator for the Party. When he was the finance minister of India no one dared to talk against him. Like that of Atal Bihari Vajpayi, he was also respected by opposition parties. Whenever he used to stand in Loksabha
for any speech, the assembly would go for a pin drop silence. Pranab's negotiating skills with the opposition and with the international counterparts was an extraordinary one. He is firm and confident in his behavior and can take India to the next level.
The present situation is unavoidable for the Congress. Rahul Gandhi is not able to establish himself as a great leader. His interview with Arnab Goswami was a total failure. India saw that he can't even  take a firm stand on any simple issue. When the burning issues were in-front of him, he decided to remain silent like his mother. Nirbhaya case, the protection of rights of North East students, Telangana bill  are some of the issues on which he did not take any stand. When India is on the verge of issues like corruption, strong international presence and good governance, he only concentrates on some old issues like that of women empowerment and reducing poverty. Even after the highly paid campaign he is unable to gain the trust on the important issues.
Congress must have to see their leadership in Pranab Mukherjee. He is the last person who could save them from historical loss. The question of bringing him back is not a difficult one. Congress will just have to handle the ego issues of some of its ministers like Chidambaram. They will simply have to ask Pranab to resign from presidential-ship and immediately needs to indirectly put him for the leadership role. He has the capacity to change the results of upcoming elections.
The whole Congress could be reinvented for the election, if he will again join the party. As it happens in politics the wind can change its direction in a day specially when it is blowing in Narendra Modi's territory. For countering the strong challenge of Narendre Modi and his good governance, Congress needs strong candidate of his caliber. As Thomas Macaualay has said people starts believing something if they are shown the thing again and again. So in order to turn the prismatic society of India into a diffracted one, we need Pranab Mukherjee to be the Prime Minister Of India.
